Solos

Amateur solos (except bass & tenor) will take place on Friday 31 July, starting at 8:30 am

Professional solos (and amateur bass & tenor) will take place on Saturday 1 Aug, starting at 8:00 am.
Bands - North American Pipe Band Championships

There will be three band circles this year - it is important that each band takes note of their performance times and assigned circle and final tuning. (a map will be made available closer to the date)

Mandatory band meetings: Friday at 11:00 am for Grade 4, 5 and Juvenile. Saturday at 11:00 am for all other grades.

Band competition times will be strictly adhered to. Bands late to the line may be sanctioned, including disqualification -

The "Society"
The Pipers' and Pipe Band Society of Ontario (PPBSO) is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and developing piping and drumming in Ontario since 1947.
As one of Canada's seven Pipe Band Associations and an affiliate of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association (RSPBA), the PPBSO extends a formal, accredited system of competition rules with a panel of judges presiding over solo and band contests. These include notable events like the North American, Canadian, and Ontario Pipe Band Championships.
The PPBSO has four branches representing Niagara/Hamilton, Ottawa, Toronto, and South Western Ontario, and actively supports regional events, including prestigious competitions like The George Sherriff Invitational, The Livingstone Invitational, The Agnew-Harrison Invitational, and The Glengarry Cup Invitational.
Beyond competition, the Society supports members and bands to run clinics, workshops, and other initiatives that sustain the culture of Highland piping and drumming.
Individual membership is open to anyone interested in advancing these traditions and contributing to a healthy, evolving piping & drumming community across Ontario. Information about membership is available here.
