Accredited PPBSO Judges

Judges with PPBSO accreditation maintain their active status by attending at least one recognized professional development seminar every two years and make themselves available to judge PPBSO competitions each year.

Below there is a list of judges who have maintained their active status for 2024. Accredited judges return to the active list by fulfilling professional development and availability requirements.

WHO?

The minimum prerequisite to becoming a PPBSO judge will be based on the candidate’s playing

experience and competitive success at the Grade 1 pipe band, or professional solo level (as applicable).

This requirement is essential to ensure that the pipe band or solo community have respect for the

knowledge, experience, and abilities of our judging panel.

The PPBSO is committed to the promotion of equality of opportunity.  Any PPBSO member who is within the catchment area of the Pipers' and Pipe Band Society of Ontario and meets the qualifications listed above may apply to become an accredited judge.
